You can delete your account yourself, at any time, from Settings on the web or in the mobile app. Deletion is permanent and immediate.
How to delete your account
- 1
Open Settings
On the web: Settings → Danger Zone. In the mobile app: Settings → Delete Account.
- 2
Confirm by typing DELETE
This is a deliberate speed bump — deletion cannot be undone.

Done
Your account and data are deleted immediately, and your uploaded files are removed from our storage systems shortly after.
What gets deleted
- Your profile, service logs (including verified hours), journals, goals, awards, and document records — permanently and immediately.
- Copies that organizations exported before your deletion remain under their control.
- Residual copies in encrypted database backups are purged on the backup provider's rolling schedule (about 30 days). We keep limited records where the law requires — for example, records of legal agreements.
There is no grace period and no recovery. Export your service record first if you want a copy for applications or personal records.
Download your full service record from Profile → Reports → Export before deleting. You won't be able to access it afterward.
If your account administers an organization, transfer ownership to another team member first — or email admin@volunteeritude.com and we'll help. The org can't exist without an Owner.
Prefer not to self-serve, or having trouble? Email admin@volunteeritude.com with the subject line 'Account Deletion' and we'll take care of it.
